Ceptera uses a three-tiered approach when assessing the strength of clients' business continuity plans.

The first tier is a consulting engagement in which we will visit a client's premises and review the continuity plan. Ceptera consultants will evaluate the enterprise structure and check the accuracy of basic plan details. Next, we will perform a series of scenario tests based on the measures outlined in the plan to assess the organization's business resilience in a given situation. Finally, we perform network testing to ensure that assumptions made in the plan are valid and that connectivity between different parts of the systems is operating properly. Consultants will then advise management on areas of the plan that require corrective action.
